Regional Training Centers (RTCs)

RTCs are located at Upazila level. RTCs train the front-line workers and their supervisors. Each RTC is headed by a Training Officer and assisted by one Lecturer (PHC), one Home Economist and one Assistant Trainer. Each RTC has a pool of resource persons, 01-02 classrooms, hostel with 40 seats, dining hall, auditorium, transport for field practice and space for games.

The major training programs offered at RTCs are:

  • Basic Training for Family Welfare Assistant (FWA) - 2 months
  • Basic Training for Family Planning Inspector (FPI) -10 days
  • Refresher Training for FPI and FWA – 5 days
  • Team Training for FWA & HA – 5 days
  • Monitoring, Supervision & Follow-up Training for Field Supervisors – 5 days
  • Early Learning & Childhood Development (ELCD) and Birth Registration & Child Rights (BRCR) Training for FPI, FWA, HA & AHIs – 5 days
